Do you have to keep the channel 199 on com2 for the datalink to be connected ?

 

Each time I change the frequency, I lost the datalink infos.

If the datalink is transmitting over that frequency it makes sense that you would have to keep the radio tuned to that frequency.

AFAIK DCS models datalinks as running on a single frequency, IRL they channel hop every few milliseconds and are jam resistant but that isn't modelled in DCS.

ok. In the FA18 it use a separate frequency and you can use 2 radios. Not the case in the JF17 I guess.

You can. You have comms 1 and comms 2 too.

yea but one of the two is used for DL. In the F16 and Hornet, it's not using one of those.
