ED Team Groove Posted November 22, 2007 ED Team Posted November 22, 2007 Lets sort this out graywo1g! Do you have all the latest Windowsupdates installed ? Do you use / used a TV card ? Apply this patch: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en;812035 blue screens and more blue screens that just have numbers. Give me the numbers! usually look for the error numbers like this one: 0x00000000F4 <- just a example. Write them down, post them. Did you installed any hardware lately? Boberro Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 You can aslo check error numbers in Microsoft Knownlegde Base which helps you solve problem. AFAIK dxg.sys is Direct Graphic. Check antyvirus to protect your PC against danger scripts, ect :) Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... CapnGimp Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 check the event logs for the system also to see any problems. I'm with you, when windoZe screws with me, I usually just reload and start afresh. I-5 2500K@3.3GHz 8GB AMD_5850 Linux and Win7 for games X52 working on getting IR built

Joe Kurr Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Most common cause for BSOD's is bad memories. Sometimes the simplest explanation tends to be true. Not neccessarily. I thought that too, when my PC started giving BSODs. I ran MemTest86+, which detected memory errors, but only with CPU cache switched on. Since my CPU cooler had had some problems the weeks before, I thought it to be the CPU which died on me. Exchanged that, but the problem still existed. Bought new memory, still the same problem. In the end it turned out to be a bad motherboard... So if you start looking at bad hardware, be sure to do a better diagnostic than I did, it will save you money ;) BSODs can be caused by any number of errors, from hardware failures to damaged drivers, even some combinations of software can cause this. You can find out where to look if you write down the numbers as Groove pointed out. Post them here, so we can help you in your search for the problem. ED Team Groove Posted November 22, 2007 ED Team Posted November 22, 2007 My last BSOD`s which occured two days ago were caused by a faulty SATA cable... Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
graywo1fg Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 Hey :) well i have been at stock everything or default everything in bios for quite a while now. i'm not overclocked or anything. i switched my ram around if that will do anything :P updated to 7.11 drivers for ATI and we'll see how that goes. i have not ever used a TV tuner card and my windows updates are up to date :) and as for numbers.... i took loads of pictures on my phone let me snag them off of there and i'll post them in a few :) Voice of Jester AI Death From Above =DFA= Squadron Discord - https://discord.gg/deathfromabove http://www.twitch.tv/graywo1f https://www.youtube.com/user/Lonewo1fg

TorwaK Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Graywolf, looks like you've problem with your RAM sticks. Mostly of BSOD happens cause of bad memory as Pilatasso said. http://www.memtest86.com/ Enter this site and get to latest version of memory check program than check your RAM sticks. RAM stress program will complete the progress in 1-2 hours depend on your CPU speed. TorwaK Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 anyway it's good that you learnt which part is broken :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core i7-6700K, @5GHz | Asus Maximus Hero VIII | 2 x eVGA GTX 970 SLI | Kingston Predator 16GB DDR4-3000Mhz | 2 x Samsung 850 PRO 240GB RAID-0 | AOC G2460PG G-SYNC LCD | OCULUS RIFT CV1 VR | THRUSTMASTER HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO PEDALS
Joe Kurr Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 I hope you're right with this diagnose. If possible, try exchanging your RAM with another PC and see if it still gives errors in MemTest. If the communication between the CPU and the memory is faulty, buying new RAM won't solve your problem. Dutch Flanker Display Team | LLTM 2010 Tiger Spirit Award
graywo1fg Posted November 24, 2007 Author Posted November 24, 2007 well guys i switched the RAM around... the left side to the ride side and all... and i have not had any BSOD's... yet! everything seems stable for now. im in contact with Corsair support and i have warranty on them... only because i have not been overclocking for about 2 months now from my instability :P Voice of Jester AI Death From Above =DFA= Squadron Discord - https://discord.gg/deathfromabove http://www.twitch.tv/graywo1f https://www.youtube.com/user/Lonewo1fg
v1per Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Bad stick of ram....I had same exact problem not too long ago. If you have more than 1, take all out and put one in at a time in the first slot, then see if Windows loads fine and runs stable. The one that is faulty probably won't load even load your video card...meaning your monitor wont even come out of sleep. I had the same exact problem with my Corsair CMX1024-3200PRO stick when trying to reformat my computer. And for the "ati2cqag.dll", try googling it. ;) Pretty sure its just another thing wrong with the ram loading.
graywo1fg Posted November 24, 2007 Author Posted November 24, 2007 ok i isolated my Ram and found the bad one. going to see if i can replace it. hard to find only 1 gb of XMS2 ram  Voice of Jester AI Death From Above =DFA= Squadron Discord - https://discord.gg/deathfromabove http://www.twitch.tv/graywo1f https://www.youtube.com/user/Lonewo1fg
Pilotasso Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 GOod thing it was RAM, they are easy to replace, and dont cause too much trouble doing it. After all they are cheap too. .
