I think the F-16 shows the same, but that was on monday before the last two updates, so...

U stands for Unknown. That'll happen for any aircraft ED hasn't specifically programmed in a code for. Presumably it'll become a 17 once the Hornet's EW system gets updated in a patch.

 

I saw Heatblur updated the Tomcat's RWR to recognize the JF-17 in the last open beta, but nothing about it in the Hornet's changelog so I'm guessing that's still coming.

Yep, the SD10 also shows up as a U rather than an M. Presumably something to be coded in due course.
