Does the F/A-18C module come with a campaign etc.?

Hello folks,

 

just a quick question: does the module come with a campaign and training missions? Didn't saw any info reg. this on the shop site except of the Red Flag additional campaign. Also I'm unsure if there aren't any campaigns which use the Persian Gulf map...

 

Sandbox sims are good to a certain point... but if it's too much "do it yourself" or "fly online"... well =(

Danke! So almost no currently active content, only single/online-sandbox. I see no need to buy a module again for the sixth or seventh year in a row.... =( god dammit

Not really sure what you mean. The Hornet comes with a mini campaign and dozens of single missions. There are also multiple high quality user campaigns that can be played for free. It’s got a ton of content.

Have you looked in the User Files under F-18? IIRC a high percentage of the single missions and campaigns (and I'm only talking singleplayer since I haven't done MP) are based on the Persain Gulf map. And I can also say that there is (to me anyway) quite a bit of SP content.

Thanks again :thumbup: for sharing some light! Considering buying the bundle even if I dislike the F/A-18C a bit as a F-16 lover ;) the F-16 seems not quite ready yet for my taste and the F/A-18C is surely interesting enough to learn manage it. A whole new world after all these years in which I didn't bought any modules.

I have been flying the DCS FA-18 for a bit less than a year now w/ the Caucus and Persian Gulf maps. It will be a long time before I am competent to get through the missions I already have. There is an 8 vs 8 mission that I lucked through and was still alive at the end for the first time yesterday. There are others I have never lived through. And I cheat w/ unlimited ammo/missiles.

Try the “Hornet Over PG” dynamic campaign. It is awesome and not “canned”.

 

Plenty of fun out there, you’re not looking at correct place probably.
