Actually my TrackIR works perfect!

I launch the TIR app., before DCS of course! And I always confirm the LED light is ON.

Sometimes (but actually it's more than "sometimes"), I realize that when I sit in a cockpit, TrackIR is disconnected from DCS World.

If I put my headphones (with TrackClip Pro) right after launching TIR software, TIR works fine in DCS

but,

if I put my headphones after launched DCS, after entered a server, and after sit in a cockpit,

I see that TrackIR isn't working and there's no TrackIR column in Controls page!

Anyone experienced this?

Yep, same here, I always have to make sure the TrackIR "sees" the Trackclip (or something else, sometimes I just quickly hold my fingernails in front of it lol) before launching DCS.

Try disconnecting/reconnecting ANY USB hub. Track IR should become recognized without coming out of game.

Could be a power issue or it could be an installation issue. Make sure you have plenty of power on the port where your TrackIR camera is plugged in. I recommend not using a hub for this device if you can avoid it. Otherwise, make sure you are using a powered hub.

Also you may need to reinstall TrackIR. DCS shouldn't (and doesn't for me) just lose TrackIR normally.

I don’t believe DCS dropping TrackIR is the issue being described. It’s realizing that Track IR was not operational before getting in the game.

I've had TrackIR drop in-game, mostly when I set my headphones down and did something else (darn WifeACK; ED modeled that far too accurately).

Amber/Amber when I get back. Stop and restart the game to fix.

I don't believe that this is an USB, USB hub, power or installation problem. Normally TIR works great in DCS or in any other games.

As I wrote above, sometimes DCS behaves like TIR is no functional. I tried but couldn't collect common parameters to discover what triggers the problem. I'm on it...

Thanks guys for feedback.

OK, I'll try that next time but it's very annoying. At least it will save time for me tho...

Just as an fyi, I've been using TrackIR for years and it's generally good, but definitely delves into the realm of flakiness at times. One of the quirky bits is it being a pain to restart if it ever gets discomnected. That shouldn't normally happen with a stable connection, though. If it's habitual I'd look at yoir USB ports.
