Racoon76 Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 Hi, Did Deka expect to release a more detailled flight manual ?
shaHeen-1 Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 Chance is 100%. When is uncertain. I expect this will be like a 400 page manual. Will be a total pain in the ass to write for deka.
Racoon76 Posted January 10, 2020 Author Posted January 10, 2020 (edited) You're right ... a lot of pain in sight for Dekka.I hope you're not in the loop ;-) Edited January 10, 2020 by Racoon76

foxwxl Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Chuck's Guide is a very good manual for much more detailed information. Deka Ironwork Tester Team

AeriaGloria Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 I’m pretty sure the Harrier doesn’t even have its manual released. We will all get the full manual as soon as it’s ready, I don’t see much point fighting that. AeriaGloria Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Thanks Chuck for the guide, lots of things to learn! Even though I have read it many times I still pull it out for a procedure I’m unfamiliar with! Without your guide I wouldn’t have known about the special engine mode Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
Terrorban Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 What specifically are you guys looking for when asking for a complete detailed manual? Not saying that there is anything wrong with asking for it but I am curious because the jet is not really difficult to operate at all and there are a lot of better tutorials already available. Plus if we look at some of the other manuals, I doubt it will explain things any easier than non official guides and tutorials. Chuck's Guide is pretty much written like a games manual rather than an actual aircraft manual so it is better to read and understand for the end user. AeriaGloria Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 From the known issues list “ Doc: Quick guides in EN and CN are quite WIP, and will keep updates after EA. Flight manual will be available after Quick guide finished.” Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
shaHeen-1 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Full manual is essential to master the jet.
Terrorban Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Yeah, I understand that however the module itself it not really complete until Deka have updated the current and added further features so I doubt anyone can master it yet. It will probably make more sense to have the aircraft manual complete once all the features are functioning to avoid further confusion. I suppose these guys want to learn things by the actual airforce standard, maybe for roleplay purpose. There might be some who want accurate information to create missions. This is why is was curious what type of crowd would benefit from the complete manual at this stage when there are so many tutorials and guides available online. GrEaSeLiTeNiN Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 (edited) Here's what a proper study sim manual looks like and it's just one of several. While I don't expect the JF-17 manual to be overwhelming as such, more details, comprehensive coverage, clarity and better formatting are certainly needed. Racoon76 Posted January 15, 2020 Author Posted January 15, 2020 (edited) I hope they will put in data about the engine cunsumption. I'm looking how to set a right BINGO and it's very difficult to get information. I calculated those values at Sea Level: - 75% -> 20 lbs/min - 80% -> 30 lbs/min - 85% -> 50 lbs/min - 90% -> 75 lbs/min - 95% -> 100 lbs/min But without real data, it's just approximate data because it depends on the speed, the outside temperature and the altitude. Floydii Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 Some detailed info on performance would be good for optimum flight planning. With its limited fuel, the Jeff really needs careful management to optimise range and loiter.
