I am happy about the maps location, but I am sincerely hoping that streching it over time (As done with Nevada and PG) is planned or an option.

Having the map stretch east far enough at least to the Rhine area will allow players who are in historic groups as well as map makers to make plausible setups going all the way to the end of the war.

I am assuming that with two westfront maps now on the table, it will be a long while until the region is revisited again. That makes it all the more important to have this map extent to the area of the low countries, to facilitate operations such as Market Garden, The Ardennes and the battle for the Rhine, finally giving us a map that caters to our actual planeset as well.

Having the map go a tad North to include at least the tip of East Anglia would allow proper bombing/escort missions, truly making the map a worthy successor and continuation of Normandy.

Here's to hoping.

having it stretch into the rhineland would be fantastic, however i think including east anglia would be a more realistic wish.

I think stretching anywhere at this point has to be on the cards.

Wether it is to flesh out scenery so you can place London defence airfields like Biggin Hill, or East Anglia to include more US bases for Bombers - bit of a lack of bomber bases is an issue for the map, or just generally heading East as best you can, nearly everything is confined on the map, and has some mission restrictions.

how big is the current map compared to other dcs maps?

just to get an idea of how much would be feasible in regards to map size increase...
