I see only lot of request from member to LLC Magnitude, but no confirmation from them, i see no more activities since Mig 21, company seem in trouble.

Leatherneck / Magnitude 3 has working on some modules (confirmed):

-Chance-Vought F4U-1D Corsair

-Vought Aeronautics F-8J Crusader

- and a "Pacific" assets pack with ships and aircrafts

Their last update was posted shortly before Christmas. A few weeks earlier the Corsair and Essex class carrier were presented at some virtual airshow. Also they don't talk much about it, the F4U seems to progress well.

If we are going to have more than one Corsair, I would love to see the F4U-5 at least, since it also participated in Korea.

 

And a full module of a -5N or NL would be a dream!

F4U-4 (as on OP pic) would be perfect IMHO as it's both WWII and Korea.

I would love to see some updates on this. It's one that I am eagerly awaiting.

And as far as the Hayate being "it's opponent," I would put the Zero there. Or maybe the Oscar. Corsairs weren't running into Ki-84's until the U.S. Navy began hitting targets on the Japanese home islands early in 1945.
