Today i was on a server and seen a FA-18 use the AIM-7MH for killing sams. I tried looking all over the net. I also Looked inside the manual. I was wondering if someone could share this info with me.

I’d be amazed if that was actually done. A sparrow requires a constant radar lock from host aircraft, until the missile reaches the track. Not sure if a sparrow could be locked on a radar emission from a ground based emitted radar signal in DCS, as it is an A/A missile..

 

I am also in agreement the the other post’er - sure seems like it would have been an AGM-88C (HARM), which is an anti-radiation A/G missile. If you weren’t mistaken, I’d bet the devs of DCS would also love to see your track file, so they could correct this error, if it was actually done as you described.

The AIM-7MH guidance update has "home-on-jam" (HOJ) mode capability IRL, so will home in on anything it perceives as jamming, which is obviously some active radio/radar source.

I'm pretty sure that the client and server were on different versions of the game (stable and beta) which causes issues like people seeing missiles as something else than they actually are, in this case HARM as an AIM-7.

dependent on the server setting its sometimes not posable for stable and beta to play together, and when stable and beta depart more from one another then its is just not posable at all irrespective of server settings.
