A sparrow requires a constant radar lock from host aircraft, until the missile reaches the track. Not sure if a sparrow could be locked on a radar emission from a ground based emitted radar signal in DCS, as it is an A/A missile.. I am also in agreement the the other post’er - sure seems like it would have been an AGM-88C (HARM), which is an anti-radiation A/G missile. If you weren’t mistaken, I’d bet the devs of DCS would also love to see your track file, so they could correct this error, if it was actually done as you described. b101uk Posted February 10, 2020 Share Posted February 10, 2020 The AIM-7MH guidance update has "home-on-jam" (HOJ) mode capability IRL, so will home in on anything it perceives as jamming, which is obviously some active radio/radar source.
