I'm working on my refueling skills, and I think it would be pretty nice if the tanker not only tells you which angels he's at, but also which speed he is traveling.

That would be a great help, in my opinion...

Agreed, it would definitely be nice to have, perhaps as an additional radio call if not part of the initial response to the 'Intent to refuel' call.

Not forgetting of course, the F/A-18 has the technology for us to find out this information for ourselves; giving the tanker a good old blast of radiation will tell us its speed in machs.

What's the official/typical/courteous distance from the tanker at which the radar should be silenced?

Would definitely be appreciated, but hardly a F-18-specific wish. Maaaybe in the course of that ATC update that could be addressed?

And have the ability to speed up or slow down on demand per request from the receiver.

What about tankers that can tank 2 aircraft at once? Will the other guy have to respond as well?

The tanker is reporting its velocity now on the initial rejoin call. With the 2/14 beta.

I was pleasantly surprised when meeting up with the tanker after the 2.5.6 update, and can confirm that this has made it into the new version.

From wish list to made the list.
