Searchlight wont shine

I'm having a bit of trouble getting the searchlight to work at night, I've tried all the usual combinations I would think would make it work but no joy. It has to be something simple I am missing, anyone know the trick?

I have the same problem. Has ED or anyone else documented how to use them?

I didn't try it yet but I think you have to place that generator as well.

 

Putting the generator in the same group didn't help.

Yup, that is the solution.

The trigger for "searchlight on" needs to reference each searchlight unit so it turns them all on, if there are more than one.

I got them working with the triggers but not tracking anything, however I saw in your video today Phil they will only track under 2000ft (or meters...) If so that makes sense as to why they were not tracking me, I was only testing and was spawning in too high. I did notice every time I struck them with a Maverick missile the game would lock up, the instant the missile hit. I was only testing though and didn't try any other weapons, but it did do this consistently with Mav's.
