captain_dalan Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Ok, some quick search revealed that this can be an issue with VA, but i'm not using VA yet, so i want to confirm if it's a problem or not. Namely, the tankers in the instant action won't respond to calls. I thought i might be a mistake in the frequencies, but i've tried both auto set and manual set and still nothing. AWACS and Mother still respond though. Do i need to setup separate channels or something? Or are the instant actions busted? P.S. i've never flown AAR in the F-14 before, only in the F-18 and the F-18 never gave me any grief. In fact i just tried it in the Bug, just to test the effects of VR on formation flying and refueling (MUCH easier to say the least) and all seams to working as usual. So? What gives? Modules: FC3, Mirage 2000C, Harrier AV-8B NA, F-5, AJS-37 Viggen, F-14B, F-14A, Combined Arms, F/A-18C, F-16C, MiG-19P, F-86, MiG-15, FW-190A, Spitfire Mk IX, UH-1 Huey, Su-25, P-51PD, Caucasus map, Nevada map, Persian Gulf map, Marianas map, Syria Map, Super Carrier, Sinai map, Mosquito, P-51, AH-64 Apache, F4U Corsair, WWII Assets Pack

Make sure you are transmitting on the correct radio for where you have the frequency dialed in at. Right control backslash or right alt backslash are the default bindings depending on which radio. Might not matter if you have radio set to auto. My YT Channel (DCS World, War Thunder and World of Warships) Too Many Modules to List --Unapologetically In Love With the F-14-- Anytime Baby! --
lbellouny Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 To add to what Whiskey11 said, if you had Jester tune it, make sure you’re on the proper modulation. I’ve had issues where he doesn’t set it to FM or AM as required. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Retired CO of the vCSG-3's VF-103 Jolly Rogers

captain_dalan Posted March 3, 2020 Author Posted March 3, 2020 Thanks guys, that was it! A case of total key binding misplacement  Being a nerd, i've had my channel 1, channel 2 and simple comms assigned on one of my throttle 4-ways......however, i had mapped them in a completely different order, so when i called channel one i actually called channel 2, and when i called channel two i actually called simple comms........ Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go and hide in the corner! :glare: Modules: FC3, Mirage 2000C, Harrier AV-8B NA, F-5, AJS-37 Viggen, F-14B, F-14A, Combined Arms, F/A-18C, F-16C, MiG-19P, F-86, MiG-15, FW-190A, Spitfire Mk IX, UH-1 Huey, Su-25, P-51PD, Caucasus map, Nevada map, Persian Gulf map, Marianas map, Syria Map, Super Carrier, Sinai map, Mosquito, P-51, AH-64 Apache, F4U Corsair, WWII Assets Pack
