[REPORTED] Can I draw your attention to some shockingly unrealistic lighting?

I've seen much worse lighting. I disagree.

The A-10C’s flashing white lights are the same. A tiny, tiny, tiny bit rubbish. More worried about real things at the moment.

Disagree with what?

Seems like you think I said "worst lighting ever".

Just because you've seen worse lighting doesn't make DCS external lights good.

Your brain is fuzzy.

Oh really? If you're worried about "real things" then what are you hanging around and posting on DCS world forum for then?

I work in a high risk environment and don't have the option to work from home. Life doesn't stop because of the virus and apparently it doesn't for you either because you're saying one thing and doing another.

Think stuff through dude. Think if what you're saying makes sense!

You will notice the forum is still active. It hasn't been suspended because of what's going on and DCS World is still in active development during this time.

Really... use some logic.

The point is, these lighting shenanigans are with us since introduction of deferred rendering in version 2.1 three years ago. They've been pointed out by numerous users ad nauseam since then, so your observation/complaint, although valid indeed, most likely won't make make any difference. ED will tweak the taxi and nav lights when they feel like it it seems, not sooner.

Well, at least nowadays these lights don't go through aluminium into the cockpits anymore (or they do it less than they used to), that's already an improvement.

I agree with all your points! After this length of time another post won't make a difference and I agree that it's at least a small improvement the lights no longer cut through into the cockpit.

I've had a rough sketchy idea to create a website focusing on problems that really need to be addressed with DCS? Not in any way as a hostile attack (as a DCS Fan that would be counter-productive). I'm thinking more as a way to focus issues and present them in a very clear way with video examples. DCS fans would contribute and share their issues.

I realise that this forum has sub-forums for that but forums are quite plain and kind of dull.

A series of very focused videos might better serve to highlight issues and make them prominent to the world.
