The MiG-21 no longer requires activation :smartass: ... and most DCS modules don't either, only FC3, the A-10C and the Ka-50 still use StarForce copy protection.

^ In 2.5.5 at least. I believe in 2.5.6 OB these three were also converted to keyless system.

i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

I use OB, just logged with my username password.

 

That probably means it doesn't require activation of any kind....

ED should seriously consider updating the Steam product pages to account for the new situation.

 

 

I didn't buy several aircraft modules during the recent sale solely because I didn't want to deal with the annoying and customer-unfriendly limited activation DRM scheme.

 

 

Besides, the following text can be found in the steam description of the Argo campaign (maybe others, I didn't bother to check), and if it isn't true anymore, ED might also want to change it:

Please note that this DLC uses Steam Keys instead of Starforce keys. As such, this purchase cannot be activated on the DCS World e-Shop version.
