D4n Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 (edited) None of the external lights (incl. taxi-light) working on "Takeoff from ramp" start, using autostart-procedure. Working totally fine however on "takeoff from parking hot"... Shahriar0 Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 It appears it is more than that. I have lost all my light key bindings for Pilot and RIO to my Hotas after the 2.5.6.47224 update! Obviously the release note has two entries under F-14B that touch the keybindings. It's possible they are the culprit.
razo+r Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 The lights work fine. Take a look at the "External Lighting" part in the manual to see what you are doing wrong.
D4n Posted April 17, 2020 Author Posted April 17, 2020 Wow, an "exterior lights switch" on the left throttle, crazy designers! :D (But I understand why! ;) ) DCS Wishlist: 2K11 Krug SA-4 Ganef SAM, VR-TrackIR icons next to player names in score-chart PvP: 100+ manual player-kills with Stingers on a well known dynamic campaign server - 100+ VTOL FARP landings & 125+ hours AV-8B, F-14 crew, royal dutch airforce F-16C - PvP campaigns since 2013 DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. IronMike Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 work fine for me as well, make sure you bind the master light switch on the throttle. Shahriar0 Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Let me be more specific about the problem I encountered. For all the planes I fly, I assign the necessary "Lights" commands to key combinations (if they don't have preassigned ones) and then bind them to my Hotas profile outside of DCS - being a VR user I want to minimize using mouse and clicking repeatedly on the light dials. For F-14B, they include Exterior Lights Master Switch ON/OFF, Lights Instrument/Console Brightens Up, etc. All those keys were working and present until I upgraded to 2.5.6.47224 after which I noticed that all those assigned keys were deleted and therefore not working. I ended up reassigning them and now they work as before. This had never happened before, either to the F-14 or other planes. Seeing entries in the release notes about keybindings made me suspected a problem introduced by Heatblur.

captain_dalan Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Indeed, i lost a few bindings with the last patch too. HSD and VDI toggles, as well as the master lights switch. No biggie, reassigned them as soon as i noticed they weren't responding to the usual inputs.
