Hi,

I was expecting Jester to report when in Bingo Fuel or low fuel,

but no report or warning came from him at any point,

even after my engines ran out of fuel and flamed out...

He was still really relaxed.... and we crashed... :smilewink:

I would expect my RIO to be aware and warn me about crucial stuff like dangareous fuel state while I dogfight and pay no attention to the impending disaster...

Thanks HB!!

Yeah I'm surprised this isn't one of Jesters' standard features as well. He lets you know where you're at when you're filling up but doesn't say anyhing when you're running on fumes. Would be great if it was something you could disable in crew contract so if you're limping back to base knowing you're low on gas you can shut him up.

How cool would it be to have Jester get more on more worried about fuel until you hit the "Bingo acknowledge" Jester command lol.

"Come on man, we've gotta land this thing, we are WAY low on gas!"

How would you communicate your pilot bingo setting to Jester in the first place? Only the pilot can set the Bingo fuel warning. All the RIO has in the back is a fuel gauge and no means of alerting him to a Bingo fuel situation if he doesn't pay attention.

So if Jester doesn't know the Bingo fuel setting, how could he warn you of the fuel level?

If you have a human RIO, tell him your Bingo fuel setting and cross your fingers that he takes note of the fuel state every once in a while.

By setting the bingo yourself - Jester can "know" what is the current bingo, same as he "knows" that you switched to AA/Cruise/...modes... as if you "told" him...

It's just programming.

And even without "knowing" the bingo... when you are about to run on fumes,

and not in landing configuration, as a parameter for example - Jester can warn you about it as a "common sense" action...

many ways to address this issue.

Cheers

RIO has a warning light for low fuel when going below 1000lbs.

It would be part of the briefing before getting to the jet. That way the Pilot and RIO are on the same page.
