paco2002 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 I've been trying to do a take off without the beeping sounds (Due to high AoA I think), each time I try to do a take off, it beeps, With load is more evident. Here are my questions. First one:Is it normal to get beeping in the JF-17 while taking off? I do something wrong? I pull up gently, at 120-130 and let the plane take off while getting around 6-9 degree pitch up. Second one: I've heard that the JF-17 takes off without flaps, but, do you need flaps for take off whit weapons on it to assist the plane to generate lift?
AeriaGloria Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Flaps is recommended for take off with a heavy load. Are you sure the beeping isn’t just like a marker/decision altitude thing? paco2002 Posted May 3, 2020 Author Posted May 3, 2020 When you pull up the nose, it starts with a bep-bep-bep-bep, like a warning for not doing a tail strike.
unknown Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Check your AoA next time you try it, if your AoA is 10(or was it 9?) you will hear a beeping, same at landing. Pic again from Chucks guide. shaHeen-1 Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 I don't remember a take off beeping. Are all warning lights in bottom right panel off? Also I pretty much never use flaps except with max weight. 1100 tanks etc
AeriaGloria Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 After flying.... Holy crap how the hell did I never notice this before???? It beeps at 10 degrees AOA, oh my god, I feel like I’ve been blind this whole time Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
foxwxl Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 Flaps is not needed on normal T/O, if you have heavy wpn loaded, then use the flap. Beeping is a reminder of 10degs AOA, if you pull gently on the rotate and let the plane slowly leave the ground, it may not be triggered. Deka Ironwork Tester Team
shaHeen-1 Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 I guess we're too focused on looking sexy as we lift off. Don't notice the beeps.
shaHeen-1 Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 Only 30-40kts later than recommended.what could go wrong?
paco2002 Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 I think it beeps me because I pull up too soon. Which speed do you recommend?
shaHeen-1 Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 120+ you should be pulling on the stick. Dont cross 180 on the ground or ur tyres are done.
