Wood Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 ED. Can you please tell me why when going through the reply of a track from a flight just flown is entirely different. Seems good for first five minutes then all hell breaks loose. Cheers Wood Windows 10, Intel i7-6700 CPU @3.40GHz, 32GB ram , GTX 4060Ti

Sarcastic Mode: OFF Lol. I did that before posting. :huh:There’s so many threads about this it’s and Varies in working for some and not working for most everyone else. Working on different aircraft and not for others. I mean JC!! When will it end. There’s posts back on this from 2010. I was hoping that someone would have solution but from what I see hell will freeze over before this is fixed. Reminder to much coffee and to much of reading of what works and what doesn’t makes one :bounce: off the GD walls. Cheers Wood Windows 10, Intel i7-6700 CPU @3.40GHz, 32GB ram , GTX 4060Ti
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted May 4, 2020 ED Team Posted May 4, 2020 Hi the track replay system is temperamental, I use it everyday and know how challenging it can be to use. We do have plans to overhaul it but this is for the future and I have no timeline currently. thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? kontiuka Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 Funny enough, for some modules, it works really well and others not so much. For example, the F-86 has an excellent track replay from what I've seen.

Yes for some modules it does work better, Mp is even more challenging especially long tracks, or tracks from servers with dynamic scripts. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Lange_666 Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 (edited) Just to give an idea. I made one in an F/A-18 as VR show-off for my friends to experience some VR. Landing the F/A-18 on the Stennis, unhook, then turn around and taxi to cat 4, hook up, catshot, fly a bit around then come back to the boat at low low level, just poppin' up and overshoot the Stennis just beside the eiland. Took me a few attempts to get it exactly right. If used to much external view during the track reply, things would not work exactly and i would crash into the carrier instead of overshooting. After an update, the track behaviour changed a bit so i crashed into the carrier each time, using external views or not. An update later it would not hook up anymore on the cat, if the moment then comes that the throttles are jammed forward, the airplane just rolled of the side of the deck. Another update further, the F/A-18 crashed into the back of the Stennis. If i play it now, it will not even reach the back of the Stennis and just crashes behind the Stennis into the sea. No more VR show-off for my friends to see... That's an example on how track replay can go wrong and even evolves updatea fter update. After all these years I finally got it through my head that the tracks might be of some use for ED's troubleshooters. Hardware, software, config., etc. That's it! (I still haven't submitted a single one) I tried to make vids of victorious and heroic A/A battles based on tracks (to show different perspectives and brag) and every time without fail... my missiles or rounds fly off 180 deg off, I ease up on G's and get smoked:huh: Wouldn't it be nice to have something like FS recorder add-on.
