Devil 505 Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 I really hope to see better ocean physics at some point with the core engine so we can eventually have a pitching and rolling deck like scene in the video below. I would really like to have the added realism and accuracy of the weather as much as the carrier itself. Also, the tail hook strikes with sparks would be a really nice touch to the bolters.

I heard from some source that the pitching deck should come later in the early access, but don't quote me on this, I'm not sure. Full fidelity su27/mig29 ?
Swift. Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 The current stennis does have a pitching deck, the issue is the wave height. Irl wave height is determined by many factors such as wind speed, wave fetch, water depth, etc. In DCS it's just wind speed that affects it, so you can't generate any significant pitching without hurricane strength winds. 476th Discord | 476th Website | Swift Youtube Ryzen 5800x, RTX 4070ti, 64GB, Quest 2
Nealius Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 7~8kts winds plus turbulence around 20 generates enough pitching for missed wires. No need for hurricanes.
Ahmed Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 Some kind of sea state control on the weather parameters would definitely help here
