Are there any plans to add in the ability to adjust where the JHMCS display appears on screen? I have track ir and im tired of bore sighting bandits with my chin. I know you can trick track ir by looking down and then recentering but it causes some weird head tracking issues.

When you sit straight and look forward with TIR, where does HMD cue appear, when you turn it on. Can you post a screenshot maybe?

I use Opentrack and notice the same thing. When I am looking straight ahead in the cockpit with HMCS on, and turn my head to either side while keeping it level the HMCS cue is about 15º depressed. And like Kestrel says, it's like aiming with your chin.

Here's a few shots I took. One of my view centered as I would normally fly, and then looking left and right keeping the HUD in frame for reference.

First screenshot is default when I turn on JHMCS looking straight ahead in good seating position.

Second screenshot is where I want it to be by default when I turn the system on.

As Ive mentioned before, I know you can trick track ir by looking slightly down and recentering the view but then the head tracking because pretty jank.

If anyone has a reliable solution, whether it be a mod, reliable work around, or just knowledge that something is being implemented by ED thatd be great lol

I read through the thread and it was really helpful.

Solution from the thread paraphrased:

Ralt+numpad 0 to reset your default camera view

recenter track ir

use Rctr+Rshift+numpad to fine tune head position while keeping your real head still

Ralt+numpad 0 to save your changes again

recenter track ir

repeat until fine tuned to your liking.

To the ones who do not use Track-Ir and only have their monitor:

Could ED disable the zoom-in / out on the JHMCS symbols, and put them at a fixed distance from the pilot's eye ?

(As it is in real life ?)

I'm just refering to the symbols, not the cockpit and outside view.

Thank you for this I will give it a try. But why should I have to? Every other aiming cue works just fine as far as it's position on the screen.
