So just tried the SC for the first time tonight. I loved it...except for one thing. When on final and when the IFLOLS pops up, the white dot pops up as well. The same one that shows up when you open the radio menus. And since I use my head to move the cursor and not the mouse, the white dot is right in the middle of my view, while on final. Pretty annoying, pretty distracting.

Any idea on how to not have this happen, or what is causing it. I'll be able to do some more self troubleshooting tomorrow after work.

+1.

Seems like it's related to Comms menu items in VR, have seen that before when radio comms are updated/prompted, but in this case the radio comms doesn't automatically pop up. Perhaps it's the "Ball Call" being added to the radio comms options at that moment, should try and see by checking radio comms menu before and after that dot shows up. I use a bound key for Ball Call so I never look at the radio comms menu. Just a guess. But agree, very annoying. Planning on removing that dang thing anyway with the code adjustment floating around here.

That's literally the VR controller cursor and it's there to be able to move the overlay. Same on pancake mode, just with the usual cursor. Bit tricky to solve. My general suggestion would be to have the overlay in the RCtrl+Enter thing anyway, and maybe add the possibility to move it just when having the radio menu open to get the cursor.

Yup- I was coming back here to post the same thing, all made sense when I tested it just now... still annoying, and hoping by disabling the overlay (whether by code or patience for ED to add that as an option) the dot will disappear into oblivion.

We will be making the overlay optional

thanks

So will it be more among the lines of control input overlay? Because I like the overlay, it’s a huge help for VR. I just don’t want the white dot that stays displayed.

I agree, my problem is not the overlay per se, it's the cursor/dot that is very distracting. In my case I have the cursor centered in VR and in the final senconds of approach, the last thing you want is a floating dot on top of where you are looking at :)

Yeah, for now, I'm just dealing with enabling the mouse and being able to move it out of the way. Not ideal, but hopefully just a temporary fix.
