AstonMartinDBS Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 After several switches between RWS, TWS and ACM modes (while AMRAAM was selected) I was unable to re-lock the target because I couldn't manually change the Radar elevation. Switching through different modes and switching through 1B/2B/4B/6B didn't help. Even turning the Radar off/on didn't force the Radar elevation to work again. I sadly forgot to save the track but I'll try to reproduce this issue and hand a track in later. But maybe someone else had this experience and a track... Snakedoc Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 Yes I have experienced the same but unfortunately no track. I will try to save it if it happens again. I noticed that when it got stuck I could only move in in TWS MAN mode. All the other modes weren't working. I manage to "unstuck" it by cycling though various modes, and eventually turning off AA mode worked (I think, as it happen during an engagement with 4 bandits and I was fumbling through every button lol) after it got unstuck it was working like this: TWS AUTO: no movement TWS MAN: elevation movement possible RWS: elevation movement possible Is it correct behavior not to be able to move the antenna elevation while in TWS auto? Furiz Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 (edited) The controls on att rdr and surface rdr tend to disappear after switching through modes, it happened to me that I lost range and azimuth controls on AG radar after switching from Air to Air mode. Happens vice versa. (When in AG or AA modes then switch) Edited June 4, 2020 by Furiz
Furiz Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 (edited) What happened on the image, I went from AG rdr to AA rdr, with no AA or AG master modes selected, and I wanted to lock one of those 4 planes in fron of me, when I pressed TDC-Depress what I got is no target lock but a ground designation point. The range and azimuth scale is also missing. Edited June 4, 2020 by Furiz

Stubbies2003 Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 I have noticed on occasion the FCR can get confused and even going from guns to AMRAAM mode won't fix it. For some reason though going to AIM-7 mode will snap it back to flying right.
