[FIXED INTERNALLY FOR NEXT UPDATE] HUD Visibility

Trying to do bad weather approach but when bright external lighting the HUD is practically invisible. As there seems to be no visor option and I have the Sym wheel turned right up is there anything else I can do?

Roll back to previous patch or wait for the next patch and pray it fixes the issue.

That and many other issues that cropped up after the last OB update. So yeah, you could say its a known issue :lol:

I couldn't see the HUD before the patch. Rolling back doesn't help at all.

 

ED seems unconcerned about the problem. We don't all have 20/20 vision!!

Sorry, but the problem is only with the current patch, if rolling back does not work try a cleanup and repair or adjusting your gamma.

 

Saying we are unconcerned is nonsense, we have replied and reported the issue, it has already been fixed internally ready for a planned patch on the 10th.

Thanks BigNewy. Looking forward to the patch on the 10th so I can fly again. I tried, but I can't see the hud in the rift-s and a clear day :)

Completely different issue to the one in the current patch, this was a global issue. If it has been overlooked it is because it is in the general chat area, not in the bugs, we have hundreds of posts to cover and we tend to focus on the bugs sections for each of the aircraft.

 

I would suggest adjusting your gamma, I'm not seeing any issue in cloud.

You have better vision than me. You could add an option to make the HUD more readable for those with poor vision. If someone who wants to keep it real they don't have to use it. As is I wasted money buying the Viper. I can't fly it if I can't read the HUD.

 

A key press to change color or a shaded visor pulled down is how BMS fixed the problem. Neither have to be used if you don't want to but they let everybody fly the plane. How would you feel about buying a plane that you couldn't use?

I do believe more support for handicaps are needed. Seems it get lost that although this a simulator, but most who enjoy the game are not pilots. Some which may not qualify to be a pilot, which includes health related issues, like vision.

It would be nice if ED would develop a way for players to simply drop the luminosity of the various HUDs for better readability.
