Isnt that the Alphasim Gripen for Fs2004\FSX?

 

If its not it could use some more work on the nose, and the engine nozzle...also there seems to be some smoothing errors at the top of the tail fin and where the canopy meets the fuselage.

hmm.. i tried the same with alphasim Su-47 (btw its free now) and i didn't manage to import it to blender.. maybe it's because it's not FSX model..

Yes, we at AlphaSim Ltd are speechless too - it's amazing how people here all say what 'great work' this is when this guy has merely stolen our copyrighted payware and then passed it off as his own work ! I am amazed at you all, he even admits it in his post yet you continue to shower praise on this thief like he's clever or something ! He's not clever - he's just stealing other people's work and saying 'look at what I have done, aren't I great ?'. It does not matter that this is LockOn and not MSFS, we did not give permission to use our products and you are therefore breaking the law.

 

Hey HUAF-074 - if you want people to love you, make your own models instead hiding behind the hard work and finance of real talent ! You do not deserve the praise of these people here, you deserve their scorn :mad: Consider youself lucky you are not at the wrong end of a lawsuit (yet). So all you have to do is delete the model and any links to it, an apology here would be nice, but I suspect you do not have the balls for that, but prove me wrong ...

I think this whole 'theft' is some sort of a serious misunderstanding of the EULA of original model, otherwise you are right. Probably HUAF-074 thought that with purchasing your product comes no personnal usage limit, so he can do anything at his own will.

 

But if I'm wrong, then this is a shame on him.

I think a reminder is in order concerning the use of commercial models for Lock-on purposes.

 

If you download a model - free or payware - make sure to read the terms of use before you start fiddling with it. If you are unsure how these terms affect use of the model with Lock-on, then simply contact the author/artist and ask.....don't just assume that its ok.

 

If a model is offered for sale in a game specific format(i.e. not open for editing), as is the case here, it is unlikely that the author will accept use in applications other than the one for which it was specifically intended.

Yeh that's a shame, but ED are strict on everything that is not completely correct, they are VERY FUSSY; shape, geo maths etc but you cannot do a 3d cockpit with Lock On, they are too fussy and I am glad they are.

 

I can understand Alphasims point of view very much but Lock on isn't MSFS which is very poor on military aircrafts real aspects. One is basically just buying the shape of the airframe and a poor cockpit (may be not graphically) that bares no real resemblence to the actual aircraft in military terms!!!!!!! AFAIK, you have NO weapon modeling whatsoever in MSFS, plus no real restiriction on quality of models produced using payware channels of distribution.

 

Look at Abacus, what a load of .....! EXTREMELY POOR.

Many addons for MSFS COST THE SAME AS FLAMING CLIFFS :eek: Some of these addons are nothing but terrain art, new clouds and sh*t like that. I am sorry Alphasim because your work in MSFS is really good yet you charge less than the crap comming from Abacus ;)
