I will ask devs about it but I'm not sure why you bind rudder controls to a button ? You dont have rudder pedals or at least twist in your joystick ?

Buttons are usually "on/off", which is why the rudder needs an axis, not a button. I'm pretty sure that's why they've made it like that.
