=GR= Cypher Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 (edited) Hello everyone. I keep getting connection time out issues for over a month now. The last couple of days it got worse by disconnecting me over and over again with out even taking off the ground. I contacted my internet provider and they informed me that everything looks ok but the log file says that i select to disconnect from the servers. Any ideas? Thank youdcs.log Edited July 14, 2020 by =GR= Cypher
Flappie Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Hi Cypher, can you please attach your dcs.log file? Are you using a wired or Wi-Fi connection? Have you looked at your Windows Event Viewer to search for Ethernet issues? ---

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 14, 2020 ED Team Posted July 14, 2020 It maybe worth trying a VPN, I have seen a few have disconnect issues, and it is usually the ISP. If you can do a test with a VPN you can rule out your ISP as the problem. thank you Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Thought it might be an open beta issue but it wasn't. Still tried clean installation of the open beta but the issue kept on. Yesterday and today it got worse and timed me out after 5 minutes on the servers. VPN is a quite expensive solution for me right now so i will try the new equipment from the ISP and maybe static IP to resolve any issues. Thank you.
Flappie Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Just added the log file. It's a wired connection. What do i look for in the event viewer? Thank you! Open the Windows section, and look for issues (red icons) or warnings (yellow icons) in the System, Software and Security sub-sections. See if any incident happens at the same time you get disconnected from the game. ---

I haven't checked it out to be honest but I suppose I would have problems with the MP long time before the issue started. Seems like I choose to disconnect from the servers in a way I can't tell.
Mr. Big.Biggs Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 I have been getting random “server connection time outs” Since I started using OB just after the first major 2.56 patch. Not savy enough to track the issue. When it gets annoying I just put my junk away and do something else. Haven’t flown in about a month so may be fixed, dunno I9 (5Ghz turbo)2080ti 64Gb 3200 ram. 3 drives. A sata 2tb storage and 2 M.2 drives. 1 is 1tb, 1 is 500gb. =GR= Cypher Posted July 20, 2020 Author Posted July 20, 2020 Hey everyone. Thank you for the assistance. The problem was solved with a simple router change as it seemed.
