Captain R Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Today I took the RX-8 to Wal-Mart for an oil change. I picked up Mechcommander 2 and Mafia from the bargain bin for $9 each and was looking at all the new games/sims. In the middle of the asile the stack of shelves were about 5 tall with Metal of Honor, Warcraft etc all the other bs FPS kiddie ADD games (IMO) on the top shelf while Flight Simulator 04 and Lock On were down on the bottom shelf. Well I fixed that.. Took all 5 Lock On boxes and put them on the top shelf !! Now they are on eye level! Today the Lilburn Wal-Mart. tomorrow on my other day off ill visit the Stone Mountain store to do some xmas shopping and be sure to rearrange LOL. BTW I saw that new game Ubisoft is advertising price of persia. They quit Lock On but support that bs, what a bunch of losers.

GGTharos Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Yes there is. Cubic centimeters. They work better, too, and they make sense ;) *runs on full AB* [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
britgliderpilot Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Yes there is. Cubic centimeters. They work better, too, and they make sense ;) *runs on full AB* Turbochargers - Big, Shiny Ones, that look like they could eat a small child for breakfast . . . . The new Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Eleven Million is going to produce 400bhp from a 2 litre engine . . . . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg

Captain R Posted December 11, 2004 Author Posted December 11, 2004 Yes there is. Cubic centimeters. The new Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Eleven Million is going to produce 400bhp from a 2 litre engine . . . . Haha thanks for the nice compliments on the 8! It is truly like a ground bound fighter jet with its 50/50 weight distribution, low mounted rotary engine that is a bit like a turbine and as smooth as one ;) and the GPS / DVD navigation. What is so funny is I always have the map up and I took a date to KPDK (Dekalb-Peachtree Airport) a bit north of downtown atlanta for dinner and noticed the navigation map displayed the runways like the Garmin in FS2004 lol. I couldnt believe it. Speaking of the Lancer EVO I also have a 95 Eagle Talon TSi 2wd with a Garrett T3/T4 hybrid turbo and Greddy 24Row front mount intercooler that dynoed at 390bhp. Same 4g63 as in the new EVO but an older version. They are fun and it feels like a rocketship when it spools up. On the street from a start the EVO will smoke me as the 18 inch rims tires that I run just spin all the way thru 1st and 2nd but at the dragstrip I run BFgoodrich drag radial tires for no tire spin and it will take out 03 Mustang Cobras. Anyway yea Lock On should have its own section. Ubi should of also released some good commercials like they do that new war game they are advertising everywhere. It was their lousy marketing that led to what happened but now my $ will go directly to ED and no more to those morons at Ubi so its all good!
VapoR Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 Re: Lock-On at Wal-Mart.. Today I took the RX-8 to Wal-Mart for an oil change. Ummm, you took an RX-8 to get an oil change WHERE????? You really trust them with your lovely car?!?!?! Man, you've been eating retard sandwiches again!! **Lord, I apolize for making fun of the retards . . . starving pygmies in New Guinea . . . etc. etc.
olaleier Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 I tried an RX-8 at a carmeet once.....lordy what compacted gift of fun that was. I could never own one, I'd lose my license before nightfall.....you just ask it and it will ANSWER!
Dmut Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 Gentlemen, let's stop chatting about autos and enter to LO\ED topics or I will have to move this thread to "Chit-chat" forum. "There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." Stormin Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 Whenever I visit a software store I always "restock" by placing Lock On at eye level on the shelves. One time I was "caught" doing this at a CompUSA store by one of the Red Shirts. I told him I was from the corporate office. He bought it and walked away. I encourage all Lock On fans to "restock" whenever they visit their local software stores. Cheers, Carl
Skywall23 Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 Stormin the problem is.... not always you find lock on on software store. It never arrive to the normal portuguese market at least. We must buy it on FNAC (a special store, that has own distribuition model for their products)
gherring Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Yes there is. Cubic centimeters. They work better, too, and they make sense ;) *runs on full AB* Uh, there is a hell of a lot more power in a cubic inch than a cubic centimeter, after all, the cubic inch is more than fifteen times larger. :supz:
GGTharos Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 The funny part is that the engine will be same volume anyway, and cubic centimeters still make more sense ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
