daive2006 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 hello, a question for eagle, why simulate the APG-68(V) 5 instead of the v9 version, who used in the year around 2007 ? problem of secret spec ? Thanks
huchanronaa Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 What a pity !! AN/APG-68(V)9 is the latest version. Compared with the previous v5 version, in addition to increasing the scanning range, it also adds a/g radar (SAR) mode It is said to be able to scan out a target the size of a meter on the ground

BuzzU Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Eagle as in Eagle Dynamics. I never saw that before. We usually say ED. Ok, never mind. :) Buzz
Mikeck Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 ED’s decision on what versions to model are based on several things I’m sure....but they have said that one important consideration is the availability of information on the system. ED wants to be able to accurately model the system so they need enough publicly available info so make sure they do so. If a system is too new, then a lot of it is still classified-including capability. Of course, this didn’t appear to be a concern in bringing in the JF-17 and the future Eurofighter...but I’ve complained enough about that

However, the US jets we have in the game now are 80s design... I mean ED employee was arrested when they tried to get the Viper flight manual.
