4 points:

1) It is impossible for lightning to occur with stratus clouds. It's will be great if you fix it.

2) Have real thunderstorm clouds, the cumulonimbus with significant vertical development.

3) Have Cirrus clouds

4) Have the clouds at the same position with others players

It only showed clouds, which were also shown back in 2017. They didn't show any weather tho.

Yeah, you guys are absolutly right. No real information other than fancy clouds are provided.

Was just a bit hopefull.

For me the rotating clouds and correct synchronization between MP clients are the important fixes.

Clouds and Weather

Another important DCS World enhancement in 2020 will be the delivery of substantially improved weather and clouds. The first step is our new system will render many different types and sizes of clouds in multiple layers. These clouds will impact certain sensors, and be synchronized in network play. We are setting a high bar for ourselves, and it is taking a bit longer than expected. However, we trust that it will be well worth the wait.

 

In parallel, we are also working on significant improvements to the dynamic weather system of DCS World that will also take advantage of this new cloud system as well as pressure fronts.

  • Clouds: A very anticipated improvement coming to DCS is already making progress. Just a few of the improvements we are looking to add to this are (the following is subject to change):
    • Different cloud types, such as:
      • Cumulus
      • Сumulonimbus
      • Сirrus
      • And variations.

you've taken this out of context! this statement is not about improved weather simulation in general, but about a web-synced "real world" weather option specifically.

 

improved weather simulation based on humidity is in development, or is stated to be in development - to be less optimistic.

I have yet to fly any simulator where the clouds, atmospheric conditions, and weather in general were not a bone on contention with most of it's users. Or where it was ever very accurate.

This subject is and has been a dead horse for decades...........Flight sim developers should have higher priorities. It seems that they are pressured into putting too many resources into something that isn't achievable.
