The Enemy Within

Is there any way I can do this campaign without doing the arrival mission. It says I need to AAR on the trip in but Try as I do, I haven't managed to AAR yet. Really would like to d the campaign so any ideas would be appreciated. (Other than to learn AAR of course, which I am desperately trying to do).

You can just play the campaign as single missions

 

In DCS, go to missions, select My Missions and browse to the campaign mission files. DLC campaign files can be found in your DCS install directory, under mods/aircraft/missions/campaigns (or something like that)

After all these years I didn't know you could do that? I always thought if I wanted to play the missions in a campaign I had to play the campaign.

There's a way to skip missions as well, by editing logbook.lua and changing the mission stage as well as the mission miz file name to the next mission.

No, I was wondering the same. I purchased Enemy Within 3.0 a few months ago and I definitely didn't have to do AAR (I actually missed that a bit tbh :P)

 

Not sure about the Enemy Within version the OP is mentioning though

I think you're right about tanking. It says a Tanker will accompany the flight, probably where I got the idea I need to tank.

Hey guys! You don't have to perform AAR at any place in the campaign. You start M1 behind the tanker, but with a lot of fuel left, so no worries!
