I made a tutorial how to do it, hope you can understand it. :)

If you do this, your models glass will look like the F-18-s, or Su-25T-s cockpit glass.

First of all, make a default glass material

Than go to the utilities and select LOMUtils. If you cant see it in the buttons do it like on the pic:

just hold and drag the LOMUtils to the new button

3._www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.jpg

Now select LOMUtils, and pick your glass material.

4._www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.jpg

If selected click OK. At the "Material type" select CanopyGlass instead of Standart. Click on Set data and your done! you can try it in-game!:)

And you can color the glass, like in the last pic, with a TGA file.

Good luck!

Nice ! :)

Just take care, if I remember well, materials in LOMAC must have unique names.

So, "glass" is a bit too common, that may cause conflicts with other glass materials of other planes/objects...

My 2 cents,

Cheers

I'm using the original mapping on that model. What's not the best. :( theres no templates, but each files for all parts on that model!!! The whole skin is about 100 files i guess! :bored::huh::lookaround:

Easy way TOMCATZ is in the .skins file for your aircraft add a line for the material you used for the glass and where it says "Standart" put "CanopyGlass" instead, like this:

material = {"Canopy_Glass", "CanopyGlass", "GLASS.tga"};

Also make sure the glass is only one-sided in max, since the glass modifier will make it two-sided in-game. :)

Oh- I thought someone found it out how to make reflections on the glass. Reflections which change when the canopy will be moved. Just like the glass of the Mavericks or the new lom models - the new trucks (Kamaz4310). There the glasses reflect the backround just like a mirror - I would use these effect for my MiG-29. However- Thanks for the answer

Best wishes,
