F16FLCS-SME Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 (edited) 2.5.6.54046 Open Beta This lamp does'nt seem to come on when it should regarding a failed FLCS BIT. According to -1: "The FLCS warning light also illuminates if the LEF's are locked or BIT fails. The FLCS warning light remains illuminated until FLCS reset action is successful in clearing the failure." "the BIT runs for approximately 45 seconds. A failure during the BIT sequence or a BIT interlock failure terminates BIT, returns the switch to OFF, illuminates the red FAIL light and the FLCS warning light, and sends an FLCS BIT FAIL PFL message. BIT failures are nonresettable and the red FAIL light does not go off until a subsequent BIT is successfully completed. Edited September 21, 2020 by F16FLCS-SME

Nealius Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Is it possible to even fail a FLCS BIT with the current Viper? I've never seen it happen.
F16FLCS-SME Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 Engage it very fast, it will fail immediately. Engage in air, same result. The real switch requires 1 second to be engaged for the BIT subroutine to actually start. This is simulated quite well now:thumbup:
Nealius Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 "Engage it very fast" as in very fast after engine startup?
FoxOne007 Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 "Engage it very fast" as in very fast after engine startup? I think he means as in, pushing up the switch for shorter than the 1 second he describes above. so if you just quickly click it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Nealius Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Oh....I've only ever done a quick click and never had issues.
