Glass reflection

I googled, searched user files, and searched here and didn't return a result.

Is there way to remove the 2D cockpit reflection?

Did you check some of the Su-25 cockpit mods that removes the cockpit reflections, and then try to find out if there is similar for A-10C?

 

I have some faint recollection that someone did that kind mod for some other mods.

Forgot about this thread. I managed to remove it myself.

You can.  But I kept little bit of something.  And made it low res to make it blurry and maybe for some performance.  I'll attach mine here but you need to replace and recompile the zip file yourself.

I recommend recompiling the zip file with no compression.  It should help load times.

i have one problem which is sunlight reflecting on the glass even when i'm behind a mountain (at sunset, for example).

 

do you know if it's possible to fix that?

I don't think so.  Mountains don't cast shadow on objects as far as I know.

it's strange because sunlight does not iluminate the cockpit (panels) behind mountains, but the glass still reflects it.

Didn't realize this was A10C-I thread.  The file I uploaded above is for A10C-II.

For older one, you may just have to rename it.

do you just delete the a10c_cpt_glass_Reflect.dds file?

You talking about A10C?  Or A10C-II?

 

For A10C-II you can just use my cockpit mod which has reflection removed.  And is IC safe.
