Haven't seen it reported yet but the range for release of the GPS guided bombs is off.

When dropping any GPS guided bombs the release range is within 2/3 miles regardless of your altitude or speed. I got up to 30k for an extreme test and it was the same as if you were at 5k. The test at 30k I was making almost 300 knots (CAS) as indicated by the F10 view stats.

I believe in Mat's video he was able to drop from around 5 miles at 6/8k. Furthermore I tried diving down and making almost 400 knots to see if increased speed would make a difference, it didn't.

Should be easily reproducible, if not I'll include a track tomorrow.

GBU-54 and GBU-38 bugs

1) GBU-54 range and accuracy is low (2,2 nm/10000 ft and it can't hit a tank in INS/GPS mode) comparing to GBU-38 (100% hit from 3,5 nm/10000 ft). Attached files: gbu54.trk and gbu38.trk.

2) If release GBU-38 on max allowed range (5,3 nm/10000 ft) it stalls and falls a mile or so short.

That may be an answer to my problem, I planned to start a thread about it, but probably just write here.

I have problem with droping GBU-54 (didn't try other bombs).Sometimes it's pinpoint accurate, regardles if dropping in GPS/INS mode or laser mode (with auto lase on). Sometimes it just goes ballistic and when dropping from 10-12k feet it flies almost like a missile and drops 1-2 miles behind a target.

Yes probably related, might be best to wait for the JDAM changes

Accuracy should be within 10 -12 meters for a GBU-38 for example
