[FIXED INTERNALLY]HMCS not aligned with head height when using TrackIR

When using trackir the hmcs is lower than head height when flying straight and level, in order to see the horizon line I have to crane my head back. Then I can see the horizon line as it matches the horizon out of the cockpit. When I set it to show my spi on the hud it is the same. I have to look upward to have the spi show up. It is in the right orientation. Just as though I am looking through bifocals. The rest of the hud appears at head height.

Something feels wrong for sure. The hud moves up and down a lot and I really have to "chin up" to see the SPI. Tried fixing it by looking down a bit when I re-center. Would be nice not to have to.

: lol: Bifocals! Haha! me too! They should correct the scorpion's angle of view a little higher.

Unfortunately, that has been the case with the F18 JHMCS as well. See the following threads:

No solution has been given yet. It is really annoying using a TrackIR having to look to the ceiling in order to hook a target or see the SPI.

I hope they let us adjust the height of the center of the HMCS.

Has this been reported as a bug in the Hornet? It really is very annoying.
