ELINT capabilities

Hey ho,

 

Will the F-16 we get be able to perform some sort of ELINT, like the Viggen can do in game?

Maybe in conjunction with the HTS and/or ALQ-131 (if thats the jammer we will get)

No, I strongly doubt it.

 

HTS data would possibly be something they analyze for ELINT data in the real world but given that ED has never implemented anything like that before, and it's not an announced feature, I don't think they'd bother coding it.

 

Instead, this won't be that hard to do manually for the player by noting the Bulls positions of various emitters using the HTS for future flights or to pass on to buddies. Should be easy enough.

I absolutely agree with what @kengou said there. I would expect the same.

Unfortunately I have to agree with kengou, even if you could do proper ELINT with the HTS or an ECM pod.

 

Players estimating locations based on threat indications is probably all we're going to get.
