mytai01 Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 DCS now hangs on the full screen DCS Start Up Screen with music and mouse cursor working. I changed the folder name from "DCS.openbeta" to "temp," and it started in windowed mode, but when I try to go back to full screen mode, it just hangs at the DCS World Screen with music and working cursor...I have the latest update on the game and hardware...there was no autoexec.cfg file generated... Flappie Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 @mytai01 Hi, if you have a steering wheel connected to your PC, you have to unplug it to launch DCS. This issue will be fixed in a few days. Otherwise, try what Lange suggests. ---
mytai01 Posted November 9, 2020 Author Posted November 9, 2020 Maybe this: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-world-2-5/bugs-and-problems-ai/game-crash-ad/7128305-return-of-the-loading-screen-bug-again This was the best solution! It fixed my problem. However, if you followed the advise to rename your DCS folder to temp, you need to go back and rename it back to the original name and do this procedure in those files. Otherwise, your fixing a folder that's missing all your configurations and joystick setups...;) MS Win7 Pro x64, Intel i7-6700K 4.0Ghz, Corsair RAM 16Gb,EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0, w/ Adjustable RGB LED Graphics Card 08G-P4-6286-KR, Creative Labs SB X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Champ PCIe Sound Card, Corsair Neutron XTI 1TB SSD, TM Warthog Throttle & Stick, TM TPR Pedels, Oculus Rift VR Headset CV1, Klipsch Promedia 4.1 Speakers...
Flappie Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 You can simply copy your former "Config" subfolder and copy it over the new one to retrieve your settings and keybindings. ---
mytai01 Posted November 10, 2020 Author Posted November 10, 2020 If you don't backup to another physical drive, you will lose everything if the drive/windows takes a hard crash.
