Mach3DS Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) You guys need to revert back to the old model from 2021. The newest one no longer supports NORMAL Maps. So the surface skins are totally smooth. It also has some unwelded vertices on the nose radome. Perhaps Grinnelli can fix this but the easiest solution is to just use the old model. I actually have 2 more to release but they require normals to look right. One is an update. The other is a "like-new" version. The other is a "like-new" version. As a stop gap, I do have the old F22 model. I will test with that later today to make sure everything still works fine, it should. 2

Are you talking about the views.lua in the root folder? Yea, that possible, I have my own and I replaced it with it. In a lot of ways, we're starting from scratch, not completely, but it's a "reset" for sure. There will be bugs, there will be issues, but...it's flyable and it performs better than it ever did before. Even on the old version, like 2022-23 when you had the FCS mode stuff, you could turn with a Su-27 or 35 pretty well but not like this. Now, as long as you don't pull so hard you stall, you can just stay INSIDE his turn circle and wait for lead. It's a beautiful thing. 3 1

One thing I have noticed that I like, is this version has better rudder authority than the 2023 version. Could you also check the trim reset function. I’m not sure it’s working at this time. Using the trim hat, I pitch it up and it stays that way until I use the hat to trim it down. I figured the trim reset would reset this. Maybe I’m doing it wrong. I’ve always loved flying this bird and so far with Y’all’s improvements, it’s getting better with each update. Thank you for doing the fantastic work on keeping the F-22 alive for DCS. 2 F-4E, F-5E-3, F-14, F-15E, F-16C, FA18-C, F-86, A-10C, Spitfire, AJS-37, KA50, MiG-19, L-39, P-51, Flaming Cliffs, All maps, WWII Assets, Combined Arms, Super Carrier.
