Also working correctly for me - hand signals, shooter shoots, etc etc

Have you attempted a repair? Cleared the FXO/metashaders? Terrain shadercache and metacache's? Any mods?

Cheers,

I've uninstalled all my mods, run a full repair, cleared the FXO/metashaders (not sure where to find the other 2?) uninstalled and reinstalled the Super Carrier module...no change.

Just so there's no misunderstanding. when you're near them, they look ok but once you start zooming in the ones further away turned into the M4 Infantry unit's cousins

I can confirm now. The crew got a reduction in polygons and a LOD implemented. They look awful in telephoto shots.

that's the whole point of LOD's, you're not supposed to "zoom in" and expect the same level of detail
The highest polys are always the ones closest, and lowest "ugly fuckers" the ones further away..

I'd be more concerned if the ugly blocky ones were the ones running around your airframe during a cat shot 😄

The range has definitely been decreased. I noticed the model/texture changing even in cockpit view approaching the catapult.

The shooters become blocky just from sitting in the cockpit with no zoom....
