Ordered a new 1TB SSD today .

Need to install World beta for F-16 and Persia map purchases..

My current install consists of several modules.

Is it Okay to deactivate modules in manager and then uninstall complete DCS?

There is no space left on C download.

Any walkaround? - Download directly to new SSD?

Thanks

You can simply copy your current install over to the new drive, no need to do a reinstall unless you want to do it for cleaning it up. DCS will work from any directory path, you just have to adjust your links on the desktop and within the start menu (if you do use those at all).

If you plan on running the OB next to another Stable install, go check this out: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/dcs-world-topics/mods-and-apps/dcs-mods/159902-the-dcs-updater-gui-utility?t=160053

You can use that tool to switch from Stable to OB and back comfortably, saving you lots of disk space.

I just did this the other day. Just a straight copy from an existing SSD drive to a M.2 SSD drive. Then changed my short cut target and everything works fine.

A little over a year ago I Replaced a HD w/ a new SSD. I bought the kit to clone the old HD onto the new SSD before removing the HD. A 10 inch wire w/ USB on one end and a plug that matches the SSD on the other. I did the clone process, removed the HD, installed the SSD, fired up the PC and everything was exactly the same except much, much faster.

Which software did you use to clone?

It's also a good idea to update the registry keys that point to DCS when you move the installed location. Some utilities use these to find the installed location.
