Aim-54s can still go active without being supported by a TWS track until TTI 16

Before Thursdays patch Aim-54s would not go active if the TWS track is lost before TTI 16

After the latest patch Aim-54s can still go active without being supported by a TWS track until TTI 16

 

1st Test

Target size set to small via the Jester menu

Aim-54C fired at 24nm TTI is 48 seconds

Radar then set to silent via the Jester menu

TWS track file is lost at TTI 38 seconds

Aim-54C goes active and hits the target

 

2nd Test

Target size set to small via the Jester menu

Aim-54C fired at 43nm TTI is 86 seconds

Radar then set to silent via the Jester menu

TWS track file is lost at TTI 70 seconds

Aim-54C goes active and hits the target

I don’t think setting the radar to silent will stop it from sending an active command. Did you clear the track or just had an X Over it?

Yeah so as long as the memory track holds it will send an active command. Hit the PLM button to clear the track and it won’t go active. Memory hold I believe is 2 minutes

What would be the point of stby/silent radar function if it could still emit? I would understand that if you have still active radar and lose radar contact it could send active signal at some TTI due to track hold, but if you have silent radar? Come on.

Target size set to large via the Jester menu
Aim-54C fired at 43nm TTI is 87seconds
PLM button pressed TWS track is cleared and radar then set to silent
Aim-54C goes active and hits the target

Thanks! Seems to be a new bug introduced at a late stage that we didn't catch, we've confirmed it and are working to fix it.
