I'm looking all over the net for very informative Su-27 cockpit layout. With exact description of sorta "what does this button do". If you have already found something like this, please assist.

PM me your e-mail adress. I was collecting info on the Su-27 for ages before falling in love with the Frog...

I think I might even have the "Aker-Barnes go Flanker" CAD drawings I made somewhere arround here..?

attachment.php?attachmentid=8893&d=1172044917

And I wasn't the only one playing with the dream of an Su-27 Pit and needing info...!? Specnaz from the check Six Forum sullpied me with a lot of good info. And Wasserfall, HPO and the gang have buildt the "Flanker-Porn", (....drooling...) Stick and Front Panel allready. I would maybe ask Wasserfall nicely . . . . ?

Panel_cy27.jpg

(this one's from Specnaz thread on Check-Six site made by Nicegame..?

I have tried to upøoad some of the pics I have to my MySpace. (Spupid name for a popular site..! Makes you say things like "my my space" ..? And that sounds dumb if you ask me.. good site otherwise though..!). .

I tried posting it on another forum the other day, and I resigned out of boredom posting one and one picture..

I could Zip it I hear you say...?

Well it's still to big for here, and my myspace (dammit). And I have no idea how those sites you can upload big files work. MSN's shared folder does though..? My Myspace (dammit) is at:

And take a look at the 3rd Wing's website. I pass the stick to Marauder, Specnaz, Wasserfall, HPO and Marauder and ... well you know hwo you are...?

Here are the sites:

Thanks guys for the replies. This is already something, but I'm very much interested on the panels and controls that are on the left and right horizontal panels - this is something that we usually don't see on any highres photographs, they are also totally unreadable in LockOn.

Triggerhappy, check your PM :)

If you can read Russian, there's an Su-27SK manual floating around on the internet. I've seen it for sale, but I'm not sure if anyone can truly make a claim of ownership over it. I can't read Russian, so I can't make heads or tails of it save for a few obvious pictures and labels, but I'm pretty sure that will explain what you're looking for. I have a hunch that this is one of the sources ED is using for the DCS Flanker too.

I have both Word doc and scanned one of this Sk manual.

Now i am just working on a translation to spanish from russian of this manual and this is the reason to ask for cockpit layouts. In the manual are very useful descriptions of some instruments of the front and side panels but nothing compared with the full German Manual of the Mig-29A.

SOme are missing and some only partially explained, and it lacks of a trully close in aproach to every button, dial , instrument or panel.

If someone is interested i could link it here

@RedTiger and Esac_mirmidon

Shaman has already got SK manual from me. But there's no specific info he interested in. He needs the high quality photos, walkaround or smth

Yes, especially the horizontal panels that are totally on the left and right side of the canopy, you pretty much can't read anything from them in LO, and I can't find any cockpit walkaround pictures anywhere hmm...

I really do not believe I will actually find drawings with english labels over buttons, knobs, instruments explaining their function in detail, however readable photos are good - since there are russian labels next to them - as long they are not scratched

I think THIS is exactly what you are looking for

It's funny,

I'm the man who started this translation. I gave these files to some people who pretended speaking russian, looking for some help (because I don't speak Russian). Now I find these files all around the web when speaking of Su-27 cockpit. If someone wants to give a hand you're welcome:thumbup:

This work is based on comparaison between russian word manual, and a raw software translation in English.

But I want to translate it into english, this is easier to share with people.

I'd be interested in seeing a copy of the su-27 manual if someone could oblige me.

Thanks

Ours is not to reason why, but rather to do and die.
