Hi guys, 

 

I got a crash using Mission Editor, I just zoomed out and it crashed.
Here is the log attached.
All the pc, game and GPU drivers are updated.

Hi Night Flier. See these two texture error messages? I get them too when I place the Oliver Perry unit on the map. And your crash happened right after them.

Can you please try to reproduce the crash by placing a Oliver Perry unit on the map?

 

I see DCS has an error when trying to load "DCSS-WAIFU" mod: "/services/DCS-WAIFU/bin/.dll: file not found". You might want to check this.

@FlappieThanks for the reply; I got another crash on Mission Editor in the same way as before, just zooming in.

The Perry Class you said is always there as I use this miz as a base so it should crash everytime but it doesn't. I actually work on this miz almost everyday with hundreds of test in game straight from the editor without any problem.

Here you have this crash's log file. (I checked WAIFU, as you mentioned, and is working correctly now compared to the first log)

The DLL crashing is not the same as before, but the crashlog keep mentioning shaders. I don't have many ideas, so let's try the simplest things:

  1. Empty "C:\Users\your-name\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta",
  2. Empty "C:\Users\Flav\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\fxo",
  3. Empty "C:\Users\Flav\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\metashaders2",
  4. Empty "C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache" (you might get error messages because some files are currently in use by desktop apps like Chrome or Firefox - just hit "Ignore").

I've done all the cleaning you suggested but today I got another crash in ME, this time selecting a boat in the group unit. (I want to point out that the crash happens randomly and not so frequently)

I'm pretty sure your issue comes from a mod. Try uninstalling them, then run the cleanup and repair procedure.

actually I haven't got any new crash in mission editor and still using mods (even a couple more now).
