upyr1 Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 When using the GB-6 do I need to mark the targets on the f10 map can I just designate them using the mission editor?
uboats Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 yup, use nav point tab to place RP1-RP6 for GB6 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My DCS Mods, Skins, Utilities and Scripts | Windows 10 | i7-4790K | GTX 980Ti Hybrid | 32GB RAM | 3TB SSD | | TM Warthog Stick | CH Pro Throttle + Pro Pedal | TIR5 Pro | TM MFD Cougar | Gun Camera: PrtScn |
upyr1 Posted January 30, 2021 Author Posted January 30, 2021 Just now, uboats said: yup, use nav point tab to place RP1-RP6 for GB6 If I start in the air or on the run way I can't seem to set the channel to the Sa-2 sight I am targeting the channel just remains blank
J20Stronk Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 It's actually PP1-PP4, not RP1-RP6, and they correspond to Waypoints 36-39.
Blinky.ben Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 (edited) Within the mission editor you can place waypoints and also target points (not sure what it’s actually called within the mission editor) but they have to be named PP1, PP2, PP3, PP4 (PP=Pre planned) once you start the aircraft if in the air they will be loaded within waypoints 36(PP1) 37(PP2) 38(PP3) 39(PP4). If you are on the ground you can place markers on the F10 map and again they must be name PP1-PP4. This can also be done for waypoints you just have to name them WPT1-WPT29. Then you need to update the DTC within the ground crew comms menu then load the DTC and all the waypoints, RP’s and PP’s will be loaded. however you can drop any glide bomb on a SPI or even a waypoint. So if you just place a waypoint over the targets and you have that waypoint selected the glide bomb will go to that location. Just remember if you have set a SPI using a TGP, Radar or HUD diamond after selecting a waypoint that will now become the new location the bomb will go to. Edited January 30, 2021 by Blinky.ben 1

I named named the target points PP1 and PP2 in the mission editor and nothing shows up with waypoints 36 and 37 so either I need to figure out why those are blank or how to configure the GB-6 to drop on waypoint 1 which is directly over an sa-2 sight

Did you type "pp1" instead of "PP1?" Were there any extra spaces that you inadvertently typed?
