Nuggetz Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 (edited) Last night I have to reinstall Win 10 from scratch and then reload other software on my newish PC. This included reinstalling DCS World, F16, F18, NTTR, Gulf, Syria & Caucuses maps. (Not tried F18 yet). F16 has thrown up some bugs: once AA Mode or Dogfight Mode is selected it is not possible to return to NAV Mode in the HUD. Also once the right hand MFD changes from the HSI screen, it is not possible to return to the HSI screen at all. Odd things like taxiing off the runway due to a complete electrical failure in the F16 and loss of NWS while the engine appeared to run. Should I go for an uninstall of the F16 module followed by a reinstall? If so what’s the best way to do it? I have run a DCS World repair via the Eagle Dynamics App and an update with nothing obvious. I have also run a health check on the PC with CPU user benchmark all of which came back as mostly outstanding, excellent or one very good, (new PC). DCS is open Beta which had been fine 24 hours ago. Many thanks in advance. Edited February 5, 2021 by Nuggetz Ryzen 9800X3D, MSI RTX 4090, 4 TB SSD, 64GB 5200 MHZ DDR5 RAM, MSI 670E Motherboard, Pimax Crystal. Furiz Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 To leave the Dogfight mode you have to press Missile Override/Center twice to exit. 17 minutes ago, Nuggetz said: F16 has thrown up some bugs: once AA Mode or Dogfight Mode is selected it is not possible to return to NAV Mode in the HUD. How is it not possible to go to the HSI and when? when you go Dogfight mode? And you probably should include a track for that electrical failure.

Pressing the dogfight mode again works for me. Same with A2A and A2G mode. Pressing them again takes me back. Didn't know there was the other mode. Better Smoke - Better Trees Caucasus - Better Trees Syria - Better Trees Mariana - Clear Canopy Glass
Nuggetz Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 Thank you for your replies. I should have mentioned that I had already tried pressing AA and AG buttons without success. I will double check the HOTAS button mapping today. I will include a track file later also. Thanks for the replies so far. Nuggetz Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 (edited) Update: I appear to have got things working properly for the most part. I re-ran the DCS repair tool (long version) this morning and looks like things are back to normal. Will recheck tomorrow. Thanks for your advice and feedback.
