Multiplayer hosting in DCS?

Ranking and unified scoring system would be nice feature for a high fidelity sim especially nice feature if there was a proper radio communications system instead of primitive chat window. (you see where I’m getting at?)

 

If a valid rank was to involve accomplished training missions and multiplayer flights scores, it would than be possible to have a common battle system.

 

Of cause if one chooses to concentrate just on blowing stuff up, well there would always be that option relevant to the certain mission types.

 

When more and more flyable aircraft become available on a battle scene perhaps that’s when it will start making sense for introducing some sort of flight structure.

Wherever you might look there’s always a certain number of noobs in the hierarchy and that would make it realistic as well.

get 10 kills in h2h . advance to captain.

 

you would have different servers running at different 'rank' settings. ace pilots would play on a settings set for pilots that has earned 10 + kills. with players of with similar rank.

 

players who is just starting out would play on a server that is sett for 'sargents' with pilots who are less experienced.

 

i'm talking stats for a2a. when planes are introduced into dcs.

This is the reason I dont play other game any more. This is a simulator not a head to head combat kill anything that moves death and destruction game. It is about learning the real life tatics of a helo desined to suport troops and take out lite (not mass) targets. I for 1 am discused buy the words that come out of your head. :ranting:It is people like you that start it and it becomes a hack fest of who has the best hack and cant be found out. Pleas dont destroy this sim buy making it in to just another Halo shoot fest..:chair:

I missunderstood you. You don't want world internet ranking - only something like RPG in-game ranking, right? Otherwise I will repeat: join a squad mate (unless you are member already) if you want to be counting. It's much more fun. You won't pass training for sargent cheating like in many other games. You'll feel the hierarchy on the squad forum. You learn how to be a good wingman first before leading a flight.

I don't want to be judge by appearance in world internet ranking. Give people an option.

There are plenty "a le Sim's" with ranking, please don't destroy DCS series by adding that useless function to serious Sim... Anything arcadish sucks... plus any competition produces cheating...

i dont even know if you have played lockon on a server that has a decent 'stats' page liked to it.

if you have , you'd maybe appreciate it.

yes it would be in game, but based upon the multilayer part. i've been in vvs 504th red hammers since 2004. so i know about squad playing.

 

i just tought it would be a cool extra in the game, i dont see why people get so upset about it. for me personaly it would mean more realistic flights, since the flight would become more exiting and enjoyable.( if you get shot down u loose your stat points. ) but when people peaple go to the extreme and say that they get discused by the worlds coming out of my mouth. .. its not worth it..

I'm not upset Kevlon. People just say what they think. I'm not telling it's arcadish either. I said if you want making steps in rank higher and higher in game - that's ok. I don't like idea to be graduating after every internet mission in world ranking. You know what I mean?

yeah, i wouldn't want a ranking system either but as Alexduke and Eurofor points out a good statistic function and exporting function would be much better.

We don't need it to feel like an hero or as we had big nuts.

 

It is only showing statistics. And it's interesting to see how often my teammates flying, what mission types they prefer and so on.

 

A ranking system should be working similar(not exactly...but similar) to the Falcon4 one. If you fly long enough without friendley fire and follow the ATC and don't crash you Aircraft etc. then you can climb to the next Rank after some while.

 

Sorry, I can't explain that in much detail in english. Hope you understand what I mean.

I don't want the next rank for shooting 10 Tanks or something like that. It's a Simulation. It should feel a bit like in real life....just a bit. Not like Counterstrike.

Man, it's not BF2 or other crappy arcade BS (not Black Shark), LOMAC have tracking system which tracks you as long as you manage to keep your butt alive and you also getting promoted... I don't need to know what is your rank or how many times you've crashed... so tracker is not needed.

You can't compare Falcon 4 to DCS they're light years apart.

Strange you don't ask for unlocks and stuff... ;)

Well I did go mental on you and shuld not have. Sory for that. But my fealings of a rankings I am still aginst. Now mabe just a stats page would be a little diffrent.

I have tryed LOCKON and it was the reason I stoped flying flight sims. As for flying with stats I have verry much dun in the past. I have over 20 years of flight sim exp. I have dun the ladder compitions in 3 difrent flight sims. of witch I was in the top 50 of pilots in all 3. And in every ladder that I compeated.some but head had to find ways to cheat the system to get beeter stats thanothers. Due to the lack of their skills (reason 2 why i stoped flight sims). I finly found a grup of guys playing AA just like me that didnt care about stats and just wanted to have fun. Of recent time a few of thim have started to stat hunt and I hav with drawn from them they make it no fun to just play the game.

As for the respect. I don't realy know you or what you are all about. I had a bad day yesterday and took it out on your post. If you wish to come over and slap me a bit I can PM you my address. After that we culd sit and have a beer or two.:drunk:
