Case Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 It is almost as if every Su-27 built got it's own designation :) There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Alfa Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 (edited) Su-33 comes from nowhere??? "Su-27K" and "Su-33" are two names for the same version - the T-10K :) . Thats also the case for several other entries in that table. Another little point of critism is that it contains some rather dubvious designations of "would-be" variants that don't exist......and little evidence that they were even seriously considered. Also I think the mention of experimental airframes as well as seperate designations for aircraft used by air display teams is a little "off" :) . In my opinion the table would have been more useful(and less confusing) if the creator had stuck to the realised variants - i.e. in operational service and the ones meant for this, were production ready prototypes exist. Vekkinho Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Plus there's no need for having another plane entry if it only differs in electronics suite. Airframes are pretty much the same! But it's a nice find Lego! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
nscode Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 It's more of a development tree than a recognition guide :) Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
Esac_mirmidon Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I have this one, maybe more accurated, and with a very interesting time frame. Versions Table " You must think in russian.." Boberro Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Nice find guys! Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Case Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Which of these versions were mass produced, so more than a few demonstrators, and made it into active service? Are there any numbers of how many of these were produced? There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
nscode Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Blue lines = design time Little planes without background are prototypes Red lines = serial production :) Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
