  1. 1. Should we have a C172 in DCS?

You do realize something that stops DCS from being a civil sim is that I uses a flat earth map? That’s not going to work…

I honestly don't see the difference. As in I don't see why a round Earth would be more important for one than the other. A round map would matter if the entire planet was modeled, but DCS doesn't do this yet. Also, while DCS doesn't have a round Earth, it has some round Earth corrections.

Besides, flat was good enough for NASA:

That level of “quality” isn’t going to convert anyone to DCS… And what? Is it gonna take 4 years to make a DCS Cessna too? 😆

There isn't necessarily a need to convert anyone, as seen in this thread there are already people here willing to buy civil DCS modules.

Yeah thats one of the dumber arguments Ive heard in a while. If I can fly an F-18, F-16, UH-1H, AH-64D, yada yada on a flat map, then I can fly a Cessna ANYTHING in DCS. Some people just need to learn the hard way when to stop.

On today's episode of "Did You Know", Cessna Skyhawk crashes into cemetery; over 800 found dead as workers keep digging.

You do know that the OV-1 Bird dog was a modified Cessna 172, right?

I knew they were both develped from the 170, I'm just saying given the choice between a module labled the 172 and O-1 I would prefer to see the O-1 with the 170 or 172 included.

If that is really a problem then that needs to be added to the list of things Eagle needs to work on.
