Yes, I've been having this issue too. 

I'd also add, even though I can't record the track at the moment, that the ai a10c II will engage tanks with apkws even if they've got agm's and gbu's making the attacks totally useless until they run out of apkws rockets and switch to better weapons.

we do have changes coming for this, 

 

when it hits the public builds you will need to set ASM as shown below for the AI A-10C II to use APKWS
